The Bangalow Art Prize
The 18th Bangalow Music Festival and Ninbella Gallery are delighted to announce the winner of the 2019 Bangalow Art Prize:
Rune Al-ith, for her woven sculpture 9 Cocoons.
9 Cocoons was one of 37 entries across multiple mediums, with three nominees selected. The nominees and winner were determined by two celebrated Australian art figures, local artist Lindy Lee, and museum and gallery curator Alison Kubler. Also nominated were Wayne Brown, for Shanti Bangalow Cowboy, and Caitlin Reilly for Not far to go to Bangalow.
The finalist pieces were exhibited in the foyer of the A&I Hall throughout the Bangalow Music Festival.
