Margaret Schindler Vocal Scholarship
As a founding member of Southern Cross Soloists, Margaret Schindler has been an integral part of the ensemble for 21 years, since its inception in 1995. A prominent vocal soloist, Margaret is renowned as being one of Australia’s foremost vocal pedagogues. In honour of Margaret’s outstanding contribution to Southern Cross Soloists and music education, Southern Cross Soloists has established the Margaret Schindler Vocal Scholarship.
The Vocal Scholarship provides mentoring, professional development and performance opportunities to emerging singers, under the expert tutelage of Margaret Schindler, Head of Voice, QCGU. The aim of the scholarship is to bridge the gap between tertiary study and a professional career, as well as the rare opportunity for a singer to develop their skills in the area of chamber music.
