CONCERT 1

SOUTHERN CROSS SOLOISTS

7PM Friday August 13

A&I Hall, Bangalow

Southern Cross Soloists open the 19th Bangalow Music Festival with an effervescent all-French program full of lightness, fluidity and colour – all the characteristics of a glass of fine French Champagne. In a program that sparkles with both brilliance and delicate finesse, the concert opens with Ravel’s vibrant and radiant Le Tombeau de Couperin. Guest French Horn player, Nick Mooney performs Saint Saens’ virtuosic Morceau de Concert and the concert concludes with Debussy’s atmospheric soundscape of the sea, for a sparkling start to our 2021 Festival.
