11AM Sunday August 15

A&I Hall, Bangalow

Join us for a leisurely Sunday morning with Baroque for Brunch in a program that evokes the spirit of the human soul, from the delicate and tender to the spirited and dramatic. Italian composer, Dall’Abaco’s virtuoso solo cello caprices performed by guest cellist Richard Narroway open the program. The concert features Porpora’s stunning Farinelli aria performed on the oboe, Telemann’s virtuosic flute and violin concerto and JS Bach’s viscerally exciting Third Brandenburg Concerto. We are treated to the rarely performed Viola d’amore (or viola of love) Concerto by Vivaldi, plus Marcello’s sublime and brilliant Oboe Concerto. The concert finishes with the intensely dramatic and turbulent CPE Bach Keyboard Concerto performed by Jayson Gillham.
